Ploppers, are easy to use pre-made digital layouts. They are usually JPEG files or PNG files, they are sometimes called, quick sticks or easy pages. This tutorial will show you how to use a Plopper in Digital Image Pro 10, it can be used for Digital Image Pro 7 and 9.
Open up your plopper. If it was downloaded it will first need to be unzipped. (refer to the tutorial on un-zipping files for help with this). This example is a PNG file (I will explain how to use a JPEG Plopper later). You can see the transparent background through the image (white square).

The PNG files allow you to place your pictures behind the plopper. Think of thePNG Plopper as a frame, and we will be placing our picture behind the frame.
Open the picture you would like to place in the layout. You will see both files in the files stack. If the stacks of files are not showing, click on the files at the top of the screen as shown in the picture below.

Crop your image to the approximate size you need to fill up the cutout area of the plopper. It helps to pull out your rulers to see what size you need. Just click on the ruler and pull it to the location you want, then let go. When you are done, just slide your rulers back.

Open up your image, (click on the image in the files stack). Set your size then crop your image.

Now open up your plopper. Click on the image you want on the plopper (in the files stack) and drag it to the plopper. Wait a few seconds and you image will apear on the plopper.

Now click on the image in the stacks and drag it below the plopper.

Your image will now be behind the plopper. Re-size the image by clicking on the corner and dragging to make it smaller.

Add any additional text and elements and save your layout.

A JPEG Plopper is just like a background paper. You will just add your photos and text on layers above your plopper. The JPEG files will not have a cut out frame to add pictures behind.
Save and upload your layout to the DSP gallery.
(plopper in example is Angie's Memories 12x12 plopper)
Enjoy.
